Fresh vs Dry Pet Food
Fresh, wet, and dry food each trade cost, convenience, and storage differently.

There's no single "best" food type — each trades cost, convenience, and nutrition differently.
Dry food — cheapest per calorie, stores easily, and lasts after opening. Quality varies widely by brand and formula. Wet food — higher moisture content, which can help pets who drink little water. Costs more per calorie than dry. Fresh food — minimally processed refrigerated or delivered meals. Highest cost, shortest shelf life, and often subscription-based.
How to compare foods: the AAFCO statement (is it complete and balanced, and for which life stage?), the first few ingredients, and your pet's response to it.
A food labeled for "sensitive stomach" or "weight management" is formulated for that purpose — it is not a treatment for a medical condition. Ask your veterinarian about diet changes for medical conditions.
